STROKER ROTATING ASSEMBLIES

Stroke: 87 - 96mm

Bore: 96 - 100mm

Displacement: 3.78 - 4.53L

(Sleeves must be used when cylinder bore exceeds 97mm)

Crankshaft:

Three versions of the crankshaft are available, 87mm, 90mm, and 96mm strokes, depending on application. Each crankshaft (cut from 4340 chromoly high-tensile steel alloy billet) is hardened and tempered for a target tensile range of at least 930 -1080 MPa (135,000-157,000 psi). The alloy incorporates 0.40% of carbon, proven to provide the highest degree of tensile, compression, and sheering strengths. Additionally, the alloy provides the maximum resistance to high-magnitude vibrational and impact forces found at high engine revolutions.

Pistons:

Pistons are forged from the same 2618 low silicon aluminum forgings used in extreme racing applications. They utilize buttons instead of spring locks, providing additional support. These pistons integrate a gas expansion groove between the two ring grooves, allowing additional small, yet critical, volume for gas expansion. The piston also incorporates a slightly taller than usual design, with longer skirts to minimize movement and vibration.

Rods:

Designed in-house and manufactured from 4340 or M300 billet forgings. These materials were chosen for their strength and longevity. All 4340 rods are assembled with ARP 2000 rod bolts and the M300 rods with ARP CA625 rod bolts. We recommend the 4340 forgings for horsepower levels up to 1000hp and the M300 for those applications over 1000hp.

Rod and Main Bearings:

ACL RACE Series performance engine bearings are recognized as a premier brand throughout the motorsport's world. From sport compact drift racing to small block NASCAR, IHRA and NHRA competitions, the unique combination of design, metallurgy and engineering provides RACE Series performance bearings with the endurance and capability to perform where others cannot.

Rings:

Total Seal Piston Rings a leader in piston ring innovation, Total Seal has pioneered some of the biggest breakthroughs in piston ring technology. The company introduced its gapless piston ring over 40 years ago and helped revolutionize modern piston ring design. Today, Total Seal Diamond Finish rings are used in the top levels of stock car, open wheel, and drag racing; and Total Seal Advanced Profiling (AP) Piston Rings are used by top engine builders in NHRA, IHRA, IRL, and Formula 1.
